From Jeff Doyle:

Have you ever reflected on what gets accomplished in your daily life and what doesn’t?  Why things like food, water, and hygiene seem to take place everyday, while other meaningful things seem to never get accomplished? John Piper writes that, “Nothing but the simplest impulses get accomplished without some forethought which we call a plan. All of us know this and practice it in relation to the basic physical necessities of life. We take steps to see that we have enough to eat and clothes to keep us warm. But do we take our spiritual needs that seriously? Do we apply the same earnestness in planning to grow spiritually as we do to making a living?”

Do you have a plan for how you are going to grow in your knowledge of and affection for God this year?  My plea to you is that you plan out and set aside time each day for prayer and Bible study. As a part of that I would also like to persuade you to take a big step forward this year by planning to read through the Bible. What would happen if we all did this?  Do you think we just might become a people marked by loving obedience to a loving God?

Below you will find plans of all sizes and shapes…the key to them all is to pick one and to put it into practice:
